Deborah L. Baird

Deborah (Debi) Barkhymer-Baird was born June 27, 1952 in Johnstown, PA. She passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Michael; her son, Thomas; daughter, Jessica; and sister, Sharon Molisee and husband, Wayne; and many friends and family. Debi was born and raised in Johnstown, PA. She graduated from Valley Forge Christian College, and later received her Master of Divinity from Eastern Baptist Seminary in Philadelphia. Debi was first of all a devoted wife and mother who took joy in her children’s accomplishments. Her second joy was her love of learning and teaching. She taught Lab School, World Religions and Humanities at the Palm Bay and Titusville campuses of Brevard Community College for many years. She was a well-loved professor and mentor to many. In whatever seh did, she protrayed a servant's heart. Services will be held on Saturday, June 16, at 1:00 p.m., at Calvary Chapel Viera, 2852 Fellowship Place (off Stadium Parkway).
