Grandpa!

I miss you oh so much! I ran across the video of you talking when Elijah first rolled over and it’s so nice to hear your voice.. it’s still so hard to think you’ve been gone for so long! 

I love you so much! Elijah is 4 now and I’m sure your watching over your little guy! He would love you oh so much. I wish there was a door or a phone to heaven so we could all talk to you or see you! 

It’s still hard to this day when I hear someone talking about you! I’m sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye. But the best memory was seeing you talking. I love you soo much. 

Keep looking down on me and Elijah! Your living through Elijah with your music! He loves music! That’s what keeps me going and grandma too!

Grandpa...

I'm not sure where to start... I miss you so much! I wish you were here still I miss your laughter and your smiles... I wish you didn't have to go but I know you have bigger plans up there.. as much as I wish you could do your big plans down here with all of us. I wish you were here to watch Elijah grow up! I think about you constantly and no matter how hard I try not to cry when I hear your name or when Elijah is reaching for your picture there's always that one tear that follows a flood of tears. Your my guardian angel and I know your watching over me and Elijah. I know your there when he's laughing at the stand in the kitchen I know he sees you! I love you so much and I miss you just as more! Keep watching over me and Elijah!

I knew this day was coming, yet the reality of it still hurts. You don't hear too much about Father in law's but I must say that mine was the absolute best! A family man with integrity, kindness, patience and a gentle spirit.
Even in the midst of this terrible grief, I am so grateful for this wonderful legacy you and ma (Bobbie) have created. Thank you for this wonderful family. Thank you for the fabulous memories.
As you rest in peace your love lives on in your amazing children, beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren, but more than that you will eternally reside within the hearts of all those blessed to have known you.

I have no idea where to start Dad. You have always been a caring and loving father. One of the hardest things right now is when I call to say goodnight and love you and your not there to say it back to me like you use to be. I am thankful for all the love you showed me over the years and that love will forever be in my heart. It hurts me that you won't get to see Elijah grow, but I know you are his guardian angle that is watching him from above.  I promise to you that I will tell him all about you and how much you loved him. 
I understand that you are cancer free now and without pain and that is what keeps me going right now. Tomorrow is going to be one of the hardest days of my life because we are laying you to rest. Tonight is killing me cause it was the last time I saw you alive. I'm just thankful I told you I loved you and you said it back to me. I will hear that for the rest of my life, and till the end of time I will still say goodnight and I love you every night.
I love you Dad and may you forever rest in peace. The boys and I will take care of mom, this I promise you.

A love note to my brother,
     When I was very little, you David, bought me a doll. I loved it so much. I remember hugging it and you at the same time. I named my baby doll candy.
     I remember my childhood years, all the music and laughter that would fill the house, as you and Norman would strum your guitars,and Daddy would play his harmonica. We all joined in singing and one of my favorite songs, still to this day , is "On the wings of a snow white dove". I'm sure as God was listening, He smiled. 
     You, my brother, have always had a kind heart. It was so sweet of you to always give me the lobster claw tips, with just a dip of butter, just because you knew I liked them.
    You grew the best and biggest vegetables, in your garden that you enjoyed so much,
then you would share your harvest with everyone.
( I just finished picking some today.)
     I would look at you watching the birds at your feeder. A tear would come to my eye seeing the tender heart you had in caring for them.
     Everyday, as the hour hand strikes and the music plays on my clock, I will forever think of you.
     But I want you to know, above all else, the moment my heart longed for, was when I asked you if you asked Jesus into your heart, and you said with confidence, " I DID".

David we will always cherish the times we spent together eating those lobsters at the shells and the long quiet ride home after the SUCKING machine took our money. You will be greatly MISSED!
Love You Bother

What I remember most about my brother Dave was he was kind and had a gentle heart. He was always there when I needed help no matter what it maybe. So it is so hard to say just one time. As I look around at so many things I see my brother I will never forger you Dave, you are in my heart.

I also want to thank David's loving wife Bobbie and there children and grandchildren for all the love they gave my brother.
 He was well taken care of by his wife.
David's life was very happy and fulfilled because of his family!
