Cedric Alfred Comrie, 89, of Palm Bay, Florida passed from this life on Sunday, December 10th, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving daughter, Dawn. Cedric was a native of Jamaica. He left Jamaica in 1955 and resided in England until moving to New York in 1981. He moved in 1995 to Palm Bay, Florida and resided there until his passing.
Cedric was a mechanic by trade. He was the owner of his own garage in the London Borough of Hackney, England. He helped many people and he was a hard worker. He loved his music, dominos, and gardening.
Cedric was preceded in death by his wife, Sophelia Comrie; his father, Beresford Comrie; and his Mother, Adella Mckenzie. Cedric leaves behind his daughters: Valerie Brown of London, England and Dawn Comrie of Palm Bay, Florida; stepson, Stanley Whyte of London, England; adopted daughter, Claire Grant of Palm Bay, Florida; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Cedric also had two brothers, five sisters, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on January 18th, 2018 at 11:00 am at First Pentecostal Church of SW Palm Bay, 2865 Jupiter Blvd. SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909. Entombment will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 7303 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909. The visitation will be held from 10:00 am to the time of the service.
