Violet Hernandez, a Carmel native and lifelong Peninsula resident, passed away in Monterey. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Max; her children, Robert (Pennie) of Pacific Grove and Sylvia (John Ivey) Newton of Monterey; her son-in-law, Brian Newton; five grandchildren, Victoria, Christy, Nicholas, Max and Alexander; and six great-grandchildren. Violet was preceded in death by her siblings, Anthony Raygoza, Robert Figueroa and Incarnation Gaxiola. At her request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions are suggested to the donor’s favorite charity.
