5-13-22, at ARC Scholarship Ceremony, MPC

Vicki's sprightly and warm presence does and will remain with me. I see her smiling, waving, quietly passing by, and always sharing. I treasure a stone she gave me, which when I hold it, comforts and grounds me.

Vicki was an inspirational friend and co-worker. Her friendly and gentle nature put people at ease no matter the situation. This made her an ideal coach, friend, and encourager for so many. Sometimes I would exercise at the MPC gym and I would see her out through the window after work hours, watching with friends as young runners would stride across the track. She'd watch them smiling with a gleam in her eye and an occasional subtle but enthusiastic pump of her arm, rallying them on. She genuinely cared, not just about performance, but of each small but significant step along the way. She understood the journey, appreciating and greeting every moment with a smile and an importance. 

She also loved Snoopy; I think because she resonated with his pure emotional world and the simplicity and honesty that it's okay to be sad, upset, bored, or so happy that life brings you to dance. I also think she had a fondness for Yoda of all things, with his likeness on one of her many totebags. She had the same type of joyful and unassuming wisdom - deep in heart, but light in spirit.  

I have been taking classes for a Social Science degree - this prompted the pleasure and opportunity to interview her just recently for an "Aging and Development" class project. It was never meant to be shared in this way, but it's an unforeseen blessing that it might provide another touchstone to both remember her and for her to continue to share her endless encouragement to keep going. Merci Vicki, we will miss you.

My sincere condolences to Vicki Rhea's family.  And with a sincere heart of sorrow, for the loss of our dear friend, I will always remember when she would take the time to talk with me.   Vicki always had such a kind heart and a willingness to help our students and anyone who needed her.  During her lifetime Vicki has touched so many lives and hearts and her love for everyone will never be forgotten but will be in our hearts and memory.  As she rests from her lifetime of hard work, her memory lives in my heart and mind.   Vicki will always be missed by those of us who knew and loved her.

Our most heartfelt condolences to Vicki's family and friends.  May God provide comfort as you navigate this difficult journey. My family and I are  sorry to hear of your loss and lift you up in our prayers.
Vicki had the most amazing way of making others feel welcomed and valued. She was an incredible support to students and staff at MPC and was so patient with the many questions I asked.  I will miss her kind smile and positive outlook.  Rest in paradise Vicki. You touched so many lives and I am blessed to have worked with you. 

I was saddened to hear of Vicki’s passing. I will remember her love of Snoopy and all things Peanuts, her generosity with Merci chocolate, and her genuine care and concern for students at MPC. She was a consistent advocate for all students and always showed genuine appreciation for any small act of kindness or thoughtfulness. My prayers are with her family and friends who are grieving at this time.



Vicki was a very special person in my life.  We shared common knowledge of generational memories,  the love of cats and lemon bars.  We could tell each other humorous things because we both enjoyed the same weird humor.  She was an inspiration.  She always walked into the office upbeat even when she was tired.
She will always leave a light in the hearts of those who knew her.

RIP my friend you will be greatly missed on the MPC Campus and most of all we will miss seeing your happy face at our fiscal window.
You were always a joy to work with.

Rest in Peace Vicki.   students and I will miss your smile whenever we visit the Access Resource Center and see you walking around the campus.  You will be missed.
