Shirley was the youngest of 6 children Claude, Patricia, Gisele, Veronica and Michel born to Renée and Roque Gil on June 13, 1958 in Fort Ord, CA.
Shirley is survived by her daughters: Renée Miguel and Courtney Gil-Merola, son-in-law Jeff Miguel and grand-daughters, Aubrée, Chloé and Scarlette. In addition, Shirley is survived by her sisters, numerous nieces and nephews and family in France.
Shirley’s greatest pride and joy in life were her granddaughters and dog Happy. She enjoyed gardening, cooking French and Mexican cuisine, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed and always remembered for the love she gave and shared with others.
A private family service will be held by The Paul Mortuary.
