Susan, I just heard of Mary's death from classmates at a Convent of the Sacred Heart reunion. We were all so sorry to share the news. Mary was incredibly charming and comedic and I admired her so much. Sending you loving thoughts.

Susan, I'm so sorry to hear about this, and wish I had kept in better touch with you and Mary.  I remember chewing the fat with Mary on 14th Avenue many times when we lived next door to your family.  I have come to appreciate and admire even more, as I've grown older, her bravery in the face of challenges.   She is one of my role models, for standing up when that was not an easy thing to do. Mary, I have known since you and Susan were 9 and 11 yrs old.  I lived in your home twice and the last time for a few years. I cherish the time I spent with you, Susan and your parents. Both of your parents were very special to me.  You gave me a second home away from home, very difficult to forget all the memories. The trips to Santa Rosa,Lake Tahoe...unforgettable. Watching you recite the poem: "The Peach" at Sacred Heart High School sitting in the audience next to your mom.  Besides having a gentle soul you were a very talented young lady. You used to come into my room to share pains and joys and we used to laugh a lot. I shall miss you and remember you always. Now, every time I would look at the sky and see a bright star I will see you, and I will not cry because I will not be able to see the stars.

Mary, you were a part of my life for as long as I've known Marsha.  I remember when you used to live upstairs from us on Paris Street in San Francisco.  You were a sweet and good person.
I am very sad to see you go, but I celebrate all the wonderful adventures that await you in your next dimension.

Mary was the sweetest, kindest soul.  She was loyal and loving to family(especially her sister Susan) and friends. Also she loved dogs, cats and birds.  How tragic to have such a dear person leave us. She was a beam of light for everyone close to her. She will be missed.

Mary you were such a sweet and joyful lady to be around.  You would make my day every time we saw each other or spoke on the phone.  You will be missed.

For the last 48 years, Mary has been like a younger sister to me and we've shared many of life's joys and sorrows together.  She deeply treasured her parents, and Susan, Pete and Raymond.  She loved her little cottage, its charming garden, and the dear pets that brought her such joy and companionship.  She's been so strong these last years, and greatly appreciative of the doctors, caregivers, family and friends who have supported her through many challenging times.

Dearest Mary, you will always, always be in my heart and I will treasure all that we've shared together.  So lovingly, Marsha
