Barbara grew up in Marin County, and moved to Pacific Grove in 1962. In 1964, she married Gerald Miller moving to Marina in 1966 where they raised their family.
Barbara was actively involved in her children’s lives whether it was driving to sporting events, homemade snacks, chaperoning band events, or driving to San Francisco to pick up popcorn for after-school movie nights. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who enjoyed doing for others.
Barbara is a lifetime member of Eastern Star, San Rafael chapter 215 O.E.S, where she served as Worthy Matron. She was active in the PTA at Ione Olson School as well as Los Arboles where her children attended. She was also active in Girl Scouts serving as troop leader and neighborhood Chairman in Marina. After 25 years of service Barbara retired from MPUSD. She spent her time after retirement with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, traveling with friends, and playing bunco.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Gerald, who passed in1986. She is survived by her children; Diane Daguio (Gary), Bryan Miller, and Cheryl Kitchen (Joe), 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will take place at The Paul Mortuary Chapel in Pacific Grove this Friday, June 17 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice.
