CPL. Luther Stephen Smith IV

CPL. Luther Stephen Smith, IV, United States Marine Corp., of Quantico, Va. and formerly of Ariton, AL., passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 along with his wife, Angelica and son, Preston in Cherokee County near Gaffney, SC. He was 22 years of age.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Ozark Civic Center with Reverends Bobby Peters and Jason Senn officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Universalist Cemetery in Ariton, Alabama. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the Civic Center from 12:00pm until time of the service.

Mr. Smith was a graduate of Ariton High School Class of 2008.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Sue Faulk Knutson (Scott Odom) of Ariton, AL; grandparents, Kenneth and Sue Faulk of Ariton, AL; sister, Charlotte Lockhart (Felix) of Colorado Springs, CO; and brother, Justin Knutson of Ariton, AL.
