Judy McLendon

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. from Goodwater Freewill Baptist Church in Wicksburg, AL with Rev. Mike McKnight officiating. Interment will follow in Goodwater Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing.

The family will receive friends Monday evening, January 31, 2011, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Dale County Humane Society.

Judy, the daughter of the late Lester Lee and Amanda Hollis Thomley, was born February 29, 1948 in Hartford, Alabama. Mrs. McLendon was a member of the Dale County Board of Realtors and she retired from the Ozark Housing Authority in Ozark.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Joyce Avant; father-in-law, Earl McLendon, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Robert Burbank.

Mrs. McLendon is survived by her husband, Earl McLendon, Jr. of Ozark; her daughter, Kimberly Bell (Rick) of Ozark; granddaughter, Jamie Bell Jordan (Leon) of Junction City, Kansas; great-granddaughter, Savannah Leigh Jordan of Junction City, Kansas; sisters, Grace Burbank of Ozark, and Cindy Parker (Rev. Hosea) of Malvern; brother, Don Thomley (Debbie) of Clewiston, FL; mother-in-law, Merle McLendon of Ozark; and sister-in-law, Linda Mauser (Ken) of Parrish, FL.
