Jerry Paul Summers Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in the chapel at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Reverend Sunny Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery with full military honors and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, December 17 at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.

Jerry was born December 10, 1949 in Buckhannon, WV to Roy C. Summers and Dolly Humphrey Summers. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later retired after 24 years of service. Jerry loved restoring classic cars as a hobby and was a member of the Car Club of Ozark.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 35 years, Debbie Summers; his brothers, Basil, David and Russell Summers and one sister, Rebecca Flannery.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Carole Summers of Ozark; his daughter, Teresa Summers (Thomas Lowe) of Ozark; his son, Jerry Summers of N.C.; a step-son, Billy Ormes (Teri) of Dothan; his brothers, Roy Summers, Andrew Summers, Theodore Summers, John Summers and Greg Blagg; his sisters, Emma Cutright, Helen Summers, Janet Lough and Lena Oldaker all of Buckhannon, WV.; also surviving are his ten grandchildren.
