Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, January 27, 2014 from the chapel at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Reverends Robert O. Smith and Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Sunday, January 26 at the funeral home.
Mr. Watson was born February 4, 1946 to Marvin and Teat Watson in Pinckard, Alabama. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Annie Bell Senn; his brothers, Mack Arthur Watson and Billy Watson.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Watson of Nashville,Tn., Paula Watson of Ozark, and Christina Clay of Daleville; his sons, John Watson (Lisa) of Ozark, Joseph Watson (Charish) of Atmore, and Mark Watson (Carrie) of Newton; his brothers, James David Watson (Faye) of Headland and Alford Watson (Sue) of Newton; also surviving are his twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
