Sylvia Josefina Segovia

Sylvia is survived by her loving husband David; daughter Athena (Anthony); granddaughter Luna; her parents Jess and Modesta Romero; her siblings Caesar, Yuvette, and Jess; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sylvia was a life long resident of Ventura County. She attended Channel Islands High School and graduated from Oxnard College. At the age of 16 she met her high school sweetheart, David, and later had their baby girl, Athena. Sylvia was employed by the State of California for 20 years. She was always bubbly, vibrant, and caring. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, baking, exploring new places, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Sylvia enjoyed deep talks and listening to music with her husband. She also loved reading, singing, and playing with her granddaughter Luna. She was always a fighter, especially when it came to battling her illness. Sylvia had a beautiful mind and soul. She will be in our hearts forever.
