It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Madrid, age 56, of Oxnard, California, who left us on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Robert was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Max and Oralia Madrid, and his cherished brothers, Ernie, Richard, and Marcos. Robert was a proud uncle to his many nephews (Eric, Marquitos Jr, Noah, Michael, Romeo, Isaiah, and Santiago) and nieces (Desiree and Claritza), who will remember him for his warmth and playful spirit.
Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Max Madrid Jr, whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved them both. He is also survived by numerous extended family members, friends, and coworkers who were touched by his generous nature and unwavering support.
Born and raised in Oxnard, Robert was known for his infectious smile and a knack for bringing people together. His passion for life was evident in everything he did, from his career to his cherished hobbies such as painting. He had a unique ability to connect with others, and his presence will be sorely missed.
A visitation service to celebrate Robert’s life will be held on Thursday, October 10th from 4pm - 9pm at Funeraria Del Angel Oxnard, with a rosary at 6:30pm. There will be a mass on Friday, October 11th at 9am at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Oxnard.
