When I first saw Robert at Crossroads Church years ago I tried not to judge by his appearance but if I saw him on my side of the street walking my way I would probably cross the street to avoid him.  I soon learned that he was a living testament of redemption and  salvation through a never ending Faith in Christ Our Lord - "YES LORD!" as Robert would always holler during service.  He was a true servant of God and he is an inspiration.  At the Forest Home Men's Retreat when Robert was leading us in discussion he learned I was going to have surgery to remove a tumor, he called me up and we all the others from Crossroads and his prayer for me moved me to tears.  I am now cancer free.  I will dearly miss seeing Robert in the sanctuary but we all feel his spirit there with us at the 10:45 service.  I am sure Robert is watching us from our Savior's side.
