Raymond A. Cruz Jr.

Raymond Adame Cruz Jr. 79 was escorted to

Heaven by the angels on Tuesday, November

2, 2016. He was born April 9th 1937 to Raymond

and Ricarda Cruz (Adame) in Oxnard, California.

Ray served in the Air Force and spent most of his

life working as a professional barber. He had a

beautiful, gentle and contemplative spirit which

he expressed through singing and whistling as he

went about his day. He loved spending time with

his children and grandchildren. He had a deep

faith in Christ and loved to bear witness to God's

love and promise of salvation.

He leaves behind his children Ernest Cruz (Julie)

Raymond Cruz III (Kathy), John Paul Cruz (Tami),

Josephine Tellez (Richard), Christine Garnica

(Richard), and Sarah Cabrera (Daniel), 33

grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, his siblings

Ramona Nungary (Joseph) and Inez Revelez (Tachi),

his companion of many years Lupe Vallez, and

many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, his

brother Augustine Cruz and his beloved wife Helen Cruz.

A special thank you goes out to Johnny Cruz, Sarah

Cabrera and Christian Preciado for their love, devotion

and care in his final days.

Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on

Wednesday, November 9, 2016 with a Prayer service

at 6:00 pm at the Funeraria Del Angel Oxnard Mortuary

Chapel, 401 W. Channel Islands Blvd, Oxnard, California.

a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Ivy Lawn

Memorial Park, Ventura, California.
