Charlie had a great sense of humor and a deep love for the outdoors. He spent much of his free time in nature and could often be found near a lake, stream, or the ocean fishing. He was also an avid hunter of deer and antelope and would love to plan camping trips with loved ones. Charlie enjoyed authentic Mexican cuisine and was not too shy to ask for a recipe. He was also known for having a sweet tooth. It was not uncommon to find candy on his dresser or in other convenient locations around his house or garage. During football season, Charlie looked forward to Sundays so he could watch his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
For most of his life, Charlie lived in his hometown of Oxnard, where he attended grade school and was a graduate of Rio Mesa High School. Soon after graduation, Charlie began driving trucks and eventually started his business as an owner operator of two semi-trucks, hauling rock and sand throughout Southern California. Charlie was also a member of the Stylistics Car Club and spent many weekends with his friends driving his 1936 Plymouth.
Charlie had a great love for his family and friends. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter so much. He often spoke of them with great pride. He will be deeply missed and remembered with love.
