Bob Vedast "Bobby" Lucin, a beloved father and husband, unexpectedly passed away on February 23, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and passion. He was born on February 6, 1965, in Cavite, Philippines to Armando “Anding” Lucin and Dolores “Cherry” Lucin.
Bob's dedication to education led him to graduate with a degree in Accounting from Far Eastern University in the Philippines. At the age of 20, he joined the US Navy, where he served for 20 years and attained the rank of SKC E-7 Chief Petty Officer. During his time in the Navy, he married his first wife Irene and was stationed in Guam for some time. They eventually settled in San Diego, California, where they raised their three daughters.
Bob's love for education did not end with his military career. He obtained his Master's Degree in Business Administration from National University and after retirement from the military, began his career as a Senior Auditor at the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), where he worked for 17 years.
Bob's commitment to his family was unwavering. He had a strong work ethic and was an outstanding father who provided for his family. Along with his work, he had a natural talent in music, being a self-taught musician who composed multiple songs on piano, guitar, and keyboard. He also enjoyed playing the drums and entertaining family and friends with karaoke, all while cooking delicious dishes for everyone to enjoy.
Bob remarried in 2020 to his loving wife, Agnes. They purchased a home in Murrietta, California where the two planned a long, happy life together.
Bob believed in enjoying life and everything in it. He often reminisced about the past with his loved ones, surrounded himself with good company, and continued to fill it with all the things that brought him joy. He spent his final days doing everything he loved while on vacation in the Philippines.
Bob is survived by his wife Agnes Lucin, his former wife Irene Saliba Lucin, and their children Erika Lucin-Reitz (Dan), Paulina Lucin-Dam (Dennis), and Kiana Lucin. He is also survived by his six siblings Armando Lucin Jr., Myrna Tiongco, Riza McLaughlin, Robert Lucin, Ronnie Lucin, and Rosalyn Cudal.
