Bill served in the United States Navy for 30 years and retired in 1987 after serving our great country. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending his time golfing, fishing, ATV riding, and sitting in a deer stand, where he could be one with nature. Bill loved his family more than anything and loved to sit and spend time with his grand-daughters while they giggled and played around him.
Bill Epling received many awards through his employment history while serving in the United States Navy, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. But one of Bill’s most fulfilling memories was being recognized as Volunteer of the Year for Seminole County Public Schools. He spent the past several years volunteering at Woodlands Elementary in his grand-daughters elementary school, where students knew him as “Pop Pop.”
A Celebration of Life will be held at their home. Donations can be sent to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, in memory of William S. Epling.
Arrangements entrusted to Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Oviedo Chapel.
