Robert “Bob” Anthony Juliano, 69, of Oviedo, Florida (formerly of West Long Branch, NJ) passed away on August 22, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on October 21, 1951 in Neptune, New Jersey to the late Anthony Angelo and Marie Patricia (Woods) Juliano. At the age of 13, with seven siblings behind him, he stepped into the role of family patriarch following the tragic death of their father. Bob was a Shore Regional High School graduate.
Bob was a man of many interests and delighted in sharing those interests with others. Whether it was rooting for the New York Yankees, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, or having deep, philosophical discussions at the mailbox with the neighbors, he enjoyed the sharing of knowledge and the wonder of life.
He was a gifted musician and singer, playing guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, as well as many other instruments. He played bass guitar with various bands throughout the years. Bob most recently was a member of the Worship team at All Saints Lutheran Church in Port Orange, Florida.
He was a chess enthusiast who volunteered for the Seminole County School System. He started a Chess Club at one school with only a handful of potential chess players. His natural ability to teach and easy-going manner was infectious and soon he found himself in a school cafeteria full of children eager to learn the intricacies of chess playing. The Chess Club was then taken county-wide and he traveled from school to school spreading his love and knowledge of the game.
Bob relished being outdoors. On any given day, he could be found hiking the Florida Trail or heading east to the shore.
His love of gardening led him into a career as Head Produce Buyer for the Gooding’s Grocery Store Chain. He retired from Gooding’s in 1999 and opted to be a stay-at-home father. He adored his wife and any time spent with her and their girls was what he treasured most.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Jeanna (Linden) Juliano; three daughters, Nicole and Kayla Juliano and Amanda (Andy) Scott; seven siblings, Peter, Richard (Patti), Mark (Ruth), Thomas, Maryann, Daniel (Leota) Juliano, and Toni Marie (Orlando) Roth.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11am, Sat., Sept. 4, 2021 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 751 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, FL 32127 with a reception to follow. Arrangements entrusted to Baldwin-Fairchild Oviedo Chapel, www.baldwinfairchildoviedo.com. Please check Bob's memorial website for a Livestream Link closer to the service date.
