Mary Ellen, 62, of Oviedo, Florida passed away peacefully on September 27, 2018. She was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on May 7, 1956 to James Joseph and Jean Marie (Glavin) Mathews. She met the love of her life at the age of 17 and would have celebrated 43 years of marriage in November. Mary Ellen graduated from Framingham North High School in 1974 and earned her cosmetology license. She enjoyed doing hair and nails but spent most of her career in human resources. A native of New England, she raised her children Jay and Michelle in Saugus, Massachusetts. She enjoyed boating with her family on Lake Winnipesaukee and motorcycle rides with her husband and dear friends, whom affectionately called her “Dell”. She retired in 2014 and relocated with her husband to Florida to care for her grandchildren. She is fondly remembered with a smile on her face and a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee in her hand. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; her children and their spouses, Jay Taylor, Danielle Taylor, Michelle Cinder, and Paul Cinder; her sister, Karen Baker; and her grandchildren, JP, Taylor, and Brooks Cinder.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 5-8 PM, Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Oviedo Chapel in Oviedo, Florida. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Nativity Catholic Church in Longwood, Florida
