Mark was born in Louisville, KY on June 16, 1957, to Miran and Ruth Jackson. Mark worked in Construction Management, specializing in environmental controls and contributed to large projects at the Louisville Convention Center, Orange County FL Convention Center, and Sandy Lane Resort in Barbados. In his spare time, he was a Harley enthusiast, Hasher, and music aficionado.
On February 21, 1987, Mark married the love of his life “D” Diana Lee. He was a devoted husband and a father to many furry four-legged children.
During their 34-year marriage, they enjoyed traveling the United States and the world. Some of their favorite memories were created in Scotland, Italy, Hawaii, Breckenridge, Sonoma County, and Barbados to name a few. They both rode their Harleys, completing two iron butt rides and traveling to the Blue Ridge Mountains, Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the 105 Anniversary and Myrtle Beach. It was definitely not the destination, but the journey that made each trip worth remembering.
Mark enjoyed riding his Harley, pub-crawling and throwing darts, all with a close group of friends. He was a good friend to many and was known as a person who you could always count on. Mark could walk into a room full of perfect strangers and leave with each of them being a friend. He was a wonderful Husband, Son, Brother, and Friend, and he will be forever missed. He left us much too soon.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Miran and Ruth Jackson. He is survived by his wife “D”, sister Vicki Rogers (Wayne), and nieces Cindy and Amy.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 21st, beginning at 3:00 p.m., at the Bull & Bush Pub in Orlando’s Milk District.
