Joseph “Joe” Weinstein passed away Sunday January 7, 2024. Joe was an amazing son, brother, husband, father, and friend. Joe was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on April 5, 1964. He graduated from Trinity Prep in 1982. In 1993, Joe graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s in accounting. He was an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Joe and Jill were married on June 13, 1992, in Orlando, Florida.
Joe held several positions in information technology and management. Most recently with Orlando Longwood Auto Auction. Over the years, Joe was active in his local church. Most recently the Maitland Presbyterian Church. Joe was very active as a father and a mentor of many young men in Boy Scout Troop 205. He and Jill supported both their boys, Cole and Max, to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Joe was active in supporting the lacrosse team for Channah and the boys. As a former swimmer, Joe assisted the swim team to support Amanda.
Joe loved boating and motorcycling. He enjoyed shooting. He was an avid woodworker, building Jill a sidebar table for her this past Christmas. Mostly, Joe loved to spend time doing just about anything with his family and friends. As a close friend fondly recalls, “Joe loved to have friends over and we shared many great family times around the fire pit – which Joe called ‘The Circle Life.’”
Joe leaves behind his wonderful wife, Jill, his children, Amanda, Cole, Max and Channah. As well as his parents, Rosalind and Bernard Weinstein and siblings, William and Michele.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Weinstein home on Saturday February 17 at 3pm.
