February 2, 1980 – August 14, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jason David Sina, who left this world on August 14, 2024, at the age of 44. Born on February 2, 1980, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jason was a beloved husband, devoted father, and loyal friend. His love for his family was profound and unwavering, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jason married the love of his life, Kristy Sina, on June 5, 2004, after meeting in Waxahachie, Texas. Their marriage was filled with love, faith, and a shared commitment to family. Together, they were blessed with three children, Ariana, Elijah, and Caprice who were the light of Jason’s life and his greatest joy. Jason was a dedicated and loving father who cherished every moment with his "babies" and always put his family first.
Jason was known for his infectious sense of humor, particularly his "Dad jokes," which he believed were the funniest anyone had ever heard. He had a deep love for Christmas, eagerly counting down the days.
A man of deep faith, Jason lived by the saying, "It is what it is—God will take care of it." This simple yet profound belief was a reflection of his trust in God's faithfulness, which he shared daily with those around him, offering comfort and reassurance.
In addition to his love for his family and faith, Jason had a passion for biking. Over the past few years, he dedicated himself to riding 200 miles annually to raise money for children battling cancer through the Great Cycle Challenge, a cause that was close to his heart.
Jason is survived by his loving wife Kristy, their children Ariana and Elijah, his mother Debbie Carr, and his father Charlie Carr. He is also survived by his siblings: Kim Short, Charlie Carr, Melanie Winfrey, Charlie Lucero, and Nick Carr; his mother-in-law Susan Brumbaugh; and many nephews and nieces. Jason was preceded in death by his father, David James Sina, his daughter Caprice Sina, and his father-in-law Ron Brumbaugh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at East Coast Believers Church in Oviedo, Florida, and Haskell Assembly in Haskell, Oklahoma, with dates to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jason's memory to the Great Cycle Challenge at greatcyclechallenge.com, continuing his mission of supporting children with cancer.
Though Jason’s time with us was far too short, his legacy of love, humor, faith, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
