His military decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Cross of Galantry, and various other foreign service medals. After his military retirement, he was a Senior Consultant for Engineering and Professional Services Corp., a Senior Manager for Raytheon Corp., and a highly respected military consultant and principal of FWEAC, LLC consultants. If you knew Fred, you were either being served by him, you served with him, or he inspired you to serve. He did not join organizations – he fully engaged, conquered them, and left them in a better state than he found them. He did not just lead others, he inspired them to more than they thought possible for themselves. His church, community and civic service is too extensive to list, but probably closest to his heart was his 32 years with Gideons International. Most importantly he was cherished by his family and especially his grandchildren. His influence will be with us forever, he will never be forgotten, and he left us better than he found us. Matthew 25:21- “His Lord said unto him, well done you good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your Lord.” In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church Oviedo, Hospice of the Comforter, or Gideons International.
