E. Edward Torres was born on February 3, 1959 in the Bronx, New York, and passed away on June 18, 2020 in Orlando, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Marisol, and his son, Michael.
He worked for many years as a police officer with NYPD before moving to Florida in the early 1990s where he worked for the Orlando Police Department until 2016. He spent his later years as a police sergeant in the Orange County Public Schools District Police.
In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He was constantly involved in home improvement projects, doing everything from flooring and molding to painting and fabrication. He also enjoyed cooking and grilling, often utilizing his charcoal and gas grills as weather permitted.
Celebration of life will be held on June 25th at Baldwin-Fairchild in Oviedo. A social gathering will begin at 5pm with a service led by a chaplain following at 7pm.
