Bernice McDonald

As a young adult she worked in Kingston, Jamaica before the family migrated to America in the 1960’s. She worked in Brooklyn, New York as a New York Bell telephone operator before retiring to Oviedo. Bernice was a dedicated mother that strongly believed in educating her children. She loved her immediate family as well as her international relatives and always had an encouraging words for all. She was a regal woman with a hearty laugh, a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile. She was quite talented and loved to paint, read, and crochet.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Bartimaeus; children- Winlette McDonald, Pauline (Scherman) Davis, Deanna (Lionel) Hoilette, and Ray (Rosemarie) McDonald. Grandchildren are Sharah, Lauren, Kamaja, Tajah, Jason, Omar, Cameron, and Ray Jr. as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 from 5-9 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Oviedo Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM at Oviedo Presbyterian Church, 2405 Lockwood Blvd. Oviedo, Florida 32765 Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, Florida.
