Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Hayden; his two son’s Paul Hayden and Allan Hayden; and his daughter, Lillie Gelfand. He was grandfather to Christal Hayden, Colleen McCarthy, Elizabeth Powell, and Stephen Hayden and was great-grandfather to Brittany Harris, Sara Concannon (deceased), Christopher Hayden, Kimberly Hayden, Hunter Hayden and Maya Powell. Arnold is also survived by his nephew, Otto Krucker; niece, Lisa Krucker; and his great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Hayden.
Arnold was born on September 2, 1923 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to parents Sidney Hayden and Sara Harris (both deceased). Arnold grew up in Buenos Aries where he later met his wife, Mary. They were married March 3, 1956 and soon after immigrated to the United States and settled in New York. In 1960 they moved to the Ft. Lauderdale area where they raised their family. In 2018, they relocated to Orlando to be closer to their daughter and granddaughter.
Arnold was a quiet and meticulous man who enjoyed spending hours in his shop completing numerous woodworking projects despite his failing eyesight. In 2004, Arnold began taking computer education classes at the Lighthouse for the Blind. Once he completed these classes, Arnold stayed on as a volunteer instructor which he thoroughly enjoyed. Arnold also loved music and dancing. He spent many evenings at the German-American club with his wife, Mary, socializing and dancing. Arnold will be loved and missed by his wife, family and friends.
