Tom Walmsley

Tom Walmsley, age 56, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024. A Celebration of Life Visitation for Tom will be held Monday, June 3, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS 66204. Following the celebration of life visitation will be a reception following the visitation at The Peak at Sonoma - Clubhouse, 8900 Mur Len, Lenexa, KS 66219.

Tom was born in Quincy, Illinois. He was born with a tennis racket in hand and played all throughout his life earning him a college scholarship to play tennis. His greatest accomplishment was winning a doubles tournament with his father, Walter. Tom graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Organic Chemistry & Nutrition. Tom was passionate about fitness and was a certified fitness instructor at Genesis Health Club. He loved training kids and older adults. Tom married his love, Tiffany, on July 20th, 2019 and they have been in a relationship for over 10 years. Together they enjoyed riding his Harley, listening to Neil Diamond, and spending time with family and so many wonderful friends. Tom loved the Lord and accepted Christ as his Savior as a teenager and his father, Walter baptized him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Thomas Walmsley, Sr. and step-father, Joe Enrietto.

Tom is survived by his wife, Tiffany Walmsley; daughter, Hope Walmsley; step-daughter, Madisyn Wallin; mother, Saundra Snyder (Ken); sisters, Neala Burnett (Lars), Donna Tift, and Joy Ruff (Derek); step-mother, Eileen Kleinsorge; and many nieces and nephews.

Tom never knew a stranger and will be missed by so, so many.
