Rose Anne (Randolph) Graham died suddenly of heart failure at her home on Monday, February 21, 2011. A mass in her honor will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, February 25, 2011 at Curé of Ars Church, interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm Thursday at Curé of Ars with the Rosary being said at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Children’s Campus of Kansas City, 444 Minnesota Ave. Suite 100, Kansas City, KS 66101.
Rose was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 27, 1937. The youngest of four children, she attended Hogan High School and graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing. She then continued and got her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from St. Louis University. Besides nursing, Rose raised three children and was deeply involved in volunteer work with the Ladies of Charity at Seton Center. She was an accomplished gardener in both her own yard and at her Church. She traveled extensively to Europe, Russia and Asia and visited her daughter on the Island of Korcula, Croatia every other summer. In her later years, the center of her life was her ten grandchildren who all went to extraordinary lengths to make her happy.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Dora Randolph, her brother Jeremiah Randolph and her sister Dorene Haake. She is survived by her husband Bob, her children Celia Graham and husband Adam Tanner and their children Clarissa and Adrian, Lawrence Graham and wife Andrea Griswold and their children Kendall, Lauren and Mallory, Richard and Nancy Graham and their children Ryan, Thomas, Bridget, Kathleen and Maura and by her brother Lt. Col (Ret) Richard Randolph.
