Rita M. Keith

Rita M. Keith, 92, Westwood, KS, passed away peacefully June 2, 2012 under the tender care of Stratford Commons Assisted Living in Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, on Wednesday, June 6, at St Agnes Catholic Church, 5250 Mission Rd., Roeland Park, KS; entombment in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa. Memorial contributions may be made to St Agnes Catholic Church. Mrs. Keith was born September 26, 1919, in Hiawatha KS, the daughter of Henry Nordhus and Josephine Waller. She was employed at Farm Credit Bureau in the early to mid 1940’s. She was married to William F Keith on March 5, 1946 until he passed away in 1997. She raised 6 children, and also worked in the home as a Portrait Retouch Artist. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Sylvester Nordhus, and by two sisters, Margaret Stallbaumer, and Theresa Heiman. She is survived by a brother, John Nordhus, and a sister Mary Macke; 3 daughters, Jody and her husband John Buckingham, Orlando Fl, Carol Sue and her husband Larry Murphy of Platte Woods, MO and Jeanne Schnurr of Jefferson City MO; and 3 sons, Bill and his wife Elizabeth Keith, Overland Park KS, Kevin Keith, Overland Park, KS, and Chris and his wife Becky Keith of Lenexa KS; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
