Paula Stith Turner (1939-2021) passed away at her home on Monday, October 4, 2021, after courageously fighting a nearly six year battle with Dementia. Paula is survived by her Brother, Glenn (Suzan) Stith and her Daughter, Sherri (Jeff) Dale; as well as Grandchildren, Sarah (Dan) Krause, Tyler Mead and Brianna Wagner; as well as Nieces, Shannon (Steve) Whitmer and Heather (Bill) Bala; her beloved Sheltie Dog, Prince remains along with her Life Partner, John Matthews; her Cousin, David (Becky) Stith; along with their Sons, James and Tom.

Her courage was probably best shown in 2001, when she spent a month at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in ICU surviving an extremely serious head injury. She surprised many people by not only recovering from Viral Encephalitis, but by returning to KCP&L shortly after she left the hospital.
Paula enjoyed traveling and attending World Series (3) and one Super Bowl while returning to Norman, Oklahoma to watch the Sooners’ Spring Football games. Her generosity to family was never forgotten over the years.

She will be buried in Miami, Oklahoma next to her Parents on Thursday, October 14, 2021.
All who knew her would agree that the nice thing about sharing your experiences with Paula Turner was that the “Good Times” were twice as good and the “Bad Times” were half as bad.
