Patricia (Patty) Jane McCuen, 68, passed away peacefully at her home in Osawatomie, KS, on May 12, 2022. Patty previously spent several years in Roeland Park, KS, before moving to Liberty, MO, after retirement and then to Osawatomie.
Patty worked for Hallmark Cards, Inc, for 43 years. She started in manufacturing in 1972 and retired in 2015 as a Procurement Specialist. She was so proud to work for Hallmark and made many lifelong friends.
Patty was a kind woman that enjoyed helping family and friends whenever she could. She loved hummingbirds, the color purple, crocheting blankets and, mostly, her five grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Billy McCuen; her daughter-in-law, Krissy McCuen; her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Paul Craft; grandchildren, Kaycee, Liam, Abby, Reilly, and Donovan; siblings, Kay Wicker, Janet Horine, and Jim and Cathy Zeigler; nieces, nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Joe Lindsey; her parents, Milo and Catherine Zeigler; her sister, Jean Ornellas; her brother, Bill Zeigler; nephew, Matt Murphy, and great-niece Jazmine Barlow.
Visitation will take place Saturday, June 4 at 10:00 am at McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS 66204. A Celebration of Life will start at 11:00am.
Patty's greatest joy was her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to help her grandchildren in the future are greatly appreciated and may be made to Cathy Zeigler, Trustee, in memory of Patty McCuen.
