Margaret M. Moore

Margaret Moore, 92, of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully on July 9, 2017. Born December 9, 1924 in St. Joseph, Missouri, she attended Convent of the Sacred Heart. She married her childhood sweetheart, Leonard Owen Moore in 1945.

Margaret was a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary church since 1951, and participated in various ministries including St. Mary’s and St. Cecelia’s circles. She was employed at Sears Catalogue Center in downtown Overland Park for nearly two decades.

She was a dedicated mother to 7 children, providing love and support through the years. When they left the nest to start their families, Margaret enjoyed her role as grandmother of 8, great-grandmother of 10, and great-great-grandmother of 2.

Upon her passing, she joins her husband and two children. She will be deeply missed by her remaining children (and spouses), Mike (Rene), Pat (Mary Ann), Tom (Jill), Denny (Michele) and Peggy (Scott) Durban, and her numerous grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:30 - 7:30 pm on Wed., July 12th at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS. Funeral services will be 10 am on Thurs., July 13th at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st Street, Overland Park, KS; burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.
