Linda Anne McLaughlin Kice, 76, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, December 14th, 2024. Linda was born March 25, 1948, in Montgomery, Alabama where she also attended high school.
After a career in banking, raising her family, and becoming a long-time survivor of breast cancer, Linda enjoyed a tranquil retirement in Apache Junction, Arizona, along with numerous RV road trips and vacations in Mexico with her husband Art. She dearly loved her family and moved back to Kansas, enabling her to spend her final year close to loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wilton G. and Ruth N. Taylor, her sister Patricia Durden, and her late husband Richard Steven McLaughlin.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Everett Kice, Overland Park, KS; four sons, Richard McLaughlin (Tracy), of Windermere, FL, Michael McLaughlin (Nicole) of Spring Hill, KS, Patrick McLaughlin of Overland Park, KS, and Randy McLaughlin of Kansas City, MO; and step-daughter, Megan Kice of Kansas City, MO. Linda was incredibly proud of her grandchildren, Trey, Caroline, Sean, Branden, Blake, and great granddaughter, Remi. Linda is also survived by her sisters, Martha Jameson of Equality, Alabama, and Betty Holt (Eddie) of Fairhope, Alabama.
She will be remembered fondly by numerous friends and family in Kansas, Alabama, and Arizona.
Graveside Service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2024 in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 9501 W. 159th Street, Overland Park, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org
