She was born April 5, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri to Hugh and Anna Moler. She attended Shawnee Mission Schools and graduated from Shawnee Mission West in 1963. Kay loved her family, friends, her fur babies; her time in the southwest; her B&H 100’s and the occasional (well daily) Gin and Tonic. Kay was great cook, and very particular about her style. She was also generous to those less fortunate, and in supporting this generosity, she was named Johnson County CASA (court appointed special advocate) Volunteer of the year in 1993. She worked hard to support her style and generosity with many jobs and activities. She had been a hair dresser, TWA flight attendant, dental assistant, bookkeeper and finished up as a court clerk for the City of Olathe, after several years of service.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Rodney Steves and Burt Holt; and sister-in-law, Debra Moler.
Kay is survived by her husband, Kris Gamble; sisters, Judy Steves and Sandie Holt; and brother, Mike Moler and his wife, Stephanie; nephews, Curtis Pasmore, Kevin Steves and Scott Steves from Topeka; and nieces, Jessica Moler and Samantha Moler Grose.
A visitation for Kay will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS 66204, followed by a memorial service at 4:30 PM.
