Kathleen S. McKeone, 70, of Holden, Missouri, formerly of Roeland, Park passed away at her home. Her parents were William E. McKeone, Jr. and Ione D. (Conley) McKeone. Kathy began her career at National Screen and contributed over 20 years of dedicated service with them. She then made a career change to Unbound as a manager with 20 years of service. It was here, where she impacted many lives and made long lasting friendships.
She truly loved music and going to concerts and, of course, playing her favorite tunes very loud. Her favorite music was Christian Rock and Country Western. Kathy made many friends and loved to entertain at home. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and partaking in conversations. One of her main passions were animals, especially dogs. She adored her Collies and Australian Shepherd, who brought her great joy. She also enjoyed gardening, vegetables and flowers, being her favorites.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Colleen; her mother; aunts; uncles and cousins. She is survived by her sister, Patti and many loving family members and close friends.
She was a devoted sister and friend and touched so many lives.
She always dreamt of living in the country, getting up every morning, sitting on the front porch enjoying the solace and beauty of nature with the man of her dreams. Her dream came true when she met Roy. She had never been happier.
Her visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by her Celebration of Life funeral service at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS 66204.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to American Lung Association, Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
