Reverend Katherine Lyman, 61, of Kansas City, crossed over to a new path on Sunday, February 13, 2022. She has been a respected member of the metaphysical communities in Kansas City and Minneapolis for more than 3 decades and dedicated to her life path of bringing love and light to the world.
Kat was an owner/manager of Crescent Springs for 22 years, providing assistance and enlightenment to the community through a constant focus on love and light. She also became an ordained Melchizedek priest as part of her life journey.
As a Reiki Seichim Master Teacher, Kat shared her knowledge and skills with dozens of seekers through classes, healing sessions and impromptu assistance. Reiki Seichim is a limitless form of transformation and healing using galactic heart energy. Kat was solely responsible for teaching an entire generation of Reiki Seichim Master Teachers, many of whom have continued teaching classes themselves.
Kat was a certified Huna Kane practitioner offering OmniDimensional Transformational Cellular bodywork. This energy form unlocks the doorway to all levels of consciousness and rejuvenates the body, opening the heart to share and receive greater love. She loved offering monthly Huna Kane Higher Self Alignment Circles to share the energy and assist others with their spiritual growth.
Stones and crystals were always close to Kat’s heart. She taught many classes in the energy and use of stones/crystals. She was rarely without “her rock & crystal friends” at work and home.
As a young person, Kat participated in 4-H activities, showing horses and raising rabbits. She established a small business at a young age buying and selling Flemish Giant rabbits. Other activities included Girl Scouts and working a variety of jobs in the St. Paul area. She graduated from Inver Hills Community College with a 4.0 gpa, focusing on Small Business Administration.
Kat was preceded in death by her mother, Joann Lyman, and her brother, Roger Allen (Kit) Lyman, Jr. She is survived by her wife, Alison Neely; her father, Roger Lyman of Pahrump, Nev.; her brother, Richard Lyman of Gilroy, Ca; and her step-mother, Sheila Lyman, of Pahrump, Nev. She also leaves a “Soul Family” of friends who love her kindness, generosity and dedication to a path of spiritual enlightenment.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1-4 pm on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the McGilley Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel. There will be a livestreamed Facebook event at 2 pm on the chapel’s website for those who cannot be present in person.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kat's memory may be made to Support KCPT/Kansas City PBS, Attn: Membership Services, 125 E. 31st Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64108.
