Jeffrey Blake Merys

Jeffrey Blake Merys, 55, of Shawnee, KS passed away May 30, 2014. Visitation will be 9-10am, followed by funeral Mass at 10am, on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at St. Puis X Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson Rd, Mission, KS 66202. Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Miege High School Music Department or the Epilepsy Foundation, 6400 Prospect, #300B, KCMO 64132.

Jeff lived his entire life in the Johnson County, KS area. He obtained a degree in Commercial Art and was an accomplished Mac operator in the prepress industry.

Jeff’s favorite pastimes including reading and watching Science Fiction and Fantasy, especially Harry Potter. He enjoyed playing Eve Online and watching American Idol. Jeff mostly loved family. His brothers were his best friends. His children filled his life with humor, love, music and pride.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Nelson Merys, Sr., and Frances Louise Merys; brothers, Brian Lee Merys, and Robert Keith Merys; sister, Allison Louise Merys; and Mark and Lido. Survivors include his wife Susan Pachak Merys; son, Jefferson Glenn Merys; daughter, Evyn Marie Merys; brothers, Glenn Nelson Merys, Jr. (David); Greg Allan Merys (Debbie), and Sheldon Scot Merys (Diane); many nieces and nephews, and Blueberry and Lily.
