Harriet Harlin, age 86, formerly of Mt. Prospect, IL, passed peacefully on October 30, 2010 at Brighton Gardens, Prairie Village, KS. Harriet was a teacher for the Chicago School District and taught chemistry at Taft High School. Harriet enjoyed her bridge groups, photography and travelled extensively through Europe. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Joseph H. and Clare Harlin, her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph J. and MaryJane Harlin. She is survived by her three nieces, Debra H. (Gary) Laughery, Prairie Village, KS, Maureen (Mike) Schmitt, Scottsdale, AZ, MaryJo (Don) Fisher, Cary, N.C., two great nephews and two great nieces. Visitation will be Friday, November 5, 2010, 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass 10:00 A.M. at St. Raymonds Catholic Church, 300 S. Elmhurst Road, Mt. Prospect, IL (Lincoln at Elmhurst Rd. “Rt. 83”). Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association appreciated.
