Gail Elizabeth Capstack

Gail was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 12, 1944. She later moved to Ridgewood, New Jersey. She graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1962 where she met the love of her life, Bill Capstack. They married on September 13, 1969 and traveled the world as Bill served in the United States Air Force for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, George and Marjorie Brown; step-mother, Margaret Brown; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Mary Coletta Kurtich; brother-in-law, Ronald Vandenberg; sister-in-law, Louise George.

Gail is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, William “Bill” Capstack; son, Scott (Rachel); daughter, Amy Kendrick (Matt); sister, Susanne Vandenberg; two grandchildren, Anabel and Rory Capstack; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone at Vitas Hospice, especially Nurse Kristin for Gail’s care during her cancer journey.

A celebration of her beautiful life will be held with her family on October 14, 2023.
