Though it has been four years, it seems like only yesterday that Debi left us.  She is thought of every day and there are many memories to brighten the void.  God Bless all her family and friends  that miss her so badly.  Rest in Peace Debi and know that you're having a few things to say up there  and we know who is trying to be in charge.  Love and miss you


I worked with Debi at St. Luke's. She was always smiling and laughing.   And she could get you to smile when you most needed it.   She will be missed.

My sympathy to all of you on the loss of Debi.  Our friendship was a result of our fathers working together in Joplin, Missouri, for the phone company.  Our families shared fun times on many occasions.  Then, later, I babysat the three sisters in Carthage.  We were all sad to hear of your dad's passing.  My mom and Jacqui stayed in touch.  Then, I learned that one of Debi's nieces was a student of mine in the middle school where I taught in Prairie Village.  Jacqueline was was an 8th grader then. Debi and I were classmates at Graceland.  We were adults making a career change, along with 6-8 others.  We all hung out together because going back to school was an adventure and fun.  From the very beginning, we got the most out of every new experience.  We were not afraid like the 20 year olds.  We were having a great time!  Right to the very end when we laughed ourselves silly when we saw ourselves in our nursing caps for the first time. Debi was wonderful.

I didn't get to work with Debi long, but just wanted to let you know she willed be greatly missed. She was always so kind and encouraging and would ask about my family. Heaven has gained one lively Angel:-)Prayersfor all her family.

Gone way to early, she was a treasure as a nurse and a friend.

To the family of Debi Cato. My love, thoughts and heartfelt prayers are with all of the family at this time. Debi was not only a fantastic mother baby nurse, she was also the best Security Officer the floor could ask for. She was a very important part of our Security team at St. Luke's. She called us and we jumped and handled the problem for her. We will miss her terribly. God truly has a beautiful flower in his garden in Debi. May God comfort, bless and keep you is my prayer.

My sympathy and prayers for the family of Debi.  I worked with her for 18 years at St. Luke's in the Mother Baby Unit.  She was full of love, light, and humor and it was a joy to be around her.  She did have that marvelous laugh, and she was such an awesome person!

Please know that my heart is with all of you as you morn Debbie's passing.    Wishing for her reunion with Jackie and Russ and for your hearts to heal.  Not sure you ever "get over", but you do get through this difficult time.   Morris and I loved your Mom and Dad and they LOVED their girls and grands!

DEBI, I remember the fun times we had at the Heartland Stitch Camps.  I am in awe of your stitching talent.  Will miss you at EGA.

Debi, I will always remember your contagious laugh.  Damm---do you know there's a flood going on here, with all the tears of you leaving us so soon. You were a tremendous friend to my daughter Lorri and many many others. There is a great void in our lives and we will never forget you.  God Bless all those who are hurting with your loss, especially your wonderful sisters and their families.

How we will miss the twinkle in your eye when some mischievous thought was expressed and your chuckles of delight when describing some misadventure or other. Your love and concern for all was so apparent. Your needle work is so beautiful and will be cherished by many.

Debi was my best friend for twenty eight years, we met working at St. Lukes as nurses on mother baby. She has seen me through so many difficult times.  I don't know how I would of survived without her dear friendship.  I feel so lost without her.  The happy times we shared are unmeasurable. She understood me like no other.  I have so many hilarious memories that they will see me through til we meet again.  My life will never be the same without Debi.  I love her as my sister. I will always remember our days together at Bethany Medical Center and then St. Luke's Hospital of KC.  I will never forget when my baby who couldn't urinate-baptised you with his first "pee" and how you ran to my room saying-" I should have guessed it would be your son who would do this!"
