Ciesert F. Dodson, age 93, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at his home. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm on Friday, November 11th at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS followed by Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm at the Chapel. Ciesert will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
Ciesert was born in Hartville, Missouri. He loved the outdoors and he was a country boy at heart. He was a veteran (1951-1953), serving in the Korean War, where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. Our Hero!
Ciesert was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dona, in 2004 and his daughter, Regina in 2021.
He is survived by his son, Michael F. Dodson; daughter, Tina R. Dodson (Amy); and grandson, Derek M. Dodson.
