Carol Ann (Francke/Zumbrunnen) Connelly

Carol Ann (Francke/Zumbrunnen) Connelly, of Overland Park, KS, known to many as “CC”, passed away peacefully on Friday October 5, 2018 surrounded by family. Carol was born on July 23, 1940 in Seattle, WA.

Carol was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She had a wonderful childhood and was the youngest of four children. She eventually moved to Kansas with her then husband, John. She raised three children and was a loving mother who liked singing, classic musicals, watching Chiefs & Royals, square dancing, swing dancing and decorating for holidays. She finished her working career at Wadell & Reed Financial Advisors.

She is survived by her daughters, Leanne Zumbrunnen Riley (Rick) and Peggy Zumbrunnen (Gene Oharah, honorary family member). She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren – Eric, Liza, Erin, Conner, Quinn, Mason, Angie & Paris; and her sister, Lynn (Francke) Welch, in Seattle. She is preceded in death by her son, Robert James (Bob) Zumbrunnen (Robin) and her brothers, Dave and Bill Francke. A memorial service in memory of Carol will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 21st at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Dr., Overland Park, KS, with the visitation from 4:00 – 5:00 pm prior to the service.
