Betty L. Roark

God called Betty home to heaven on Monday, January 2, 2012. Betty loved her family and friends and was able to spend the holidays at home with them. Betty was born on May 6, 1927 in Troy, Kansas. She lived the last 24 years in Overland Park, Kansas. Betty's husband, Howard preceded her to heaven.

Funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, at First Baptist Church of Overland Park, 8200 West 96th Street, Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, at the church. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas.

Betty had a strong faith and belonged to the First Baptist Church of Overland Park. She was blessed with a loving church family and spent countless hours with her circle and prayer circle. Betty enjoyed playing Mahjong. Thank you to all her friends from the church and the Mahjong group for your love and support.

Betty is survived by her son, Bob Pike (Margie) and daughter, Patty Lehn (Jim), her five grandchildren, Doug Poessiger (Jessica), Ryan Lehn (Meghann), Justin Lehn (Katie), Erin Lehn, and Andy Pike and seven great-grandchildren.

Betty's family suggests donations to First Baptist Church of Overland Park in lieu of flowers.

Betty was a loving mom, grandma and great-grandma. We will miss her.
