

Betty E. Hauber, Overland Park, KS, passed away May 13, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, May 17, at Church of the Holy Cross, 8311 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park, KS, 66212. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Monday, May 16, at the church. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the church.
Betty was born September 22, 1926, in Kansas City, KS, to Frank and Prudence (McAtee) Redmond. She graduated from Ward High School, and later worked for Prudential and at Milgram’s. On June 6, 1953, she was married to Frank Hauber at St. Benedict’s in KCK. Their marriage was blessed with three children. Betty loved to dance, and enjoyed all sports, especially bowling and golfing. She celebrated her special “hole-in-one” the remainder of her life.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Joe, Jim, Bob, and Gene Redmond; and sister: Ruth Egan. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank; sons: Bernard (Maril) Hauber and Donald (Julie) Hauber; a daughter: Mary Beth (Jim) Cox; 6 grandchildren; a great granddaughter; a brother: Fr. Donald Redmond; and a sister: Mary Kay Coakley.
