Albert John “Jack” McCoy Jr., 85, of Shawnee, KS passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living Shawnee, KS. Visitation will be 9-10 am on Saturday, October 22nd at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, Overland Park, KS with the funeral service following at 10 am. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. Jack was born on August 1, 1931 in Kansas City, MO to Albert and Mildred McCoy. He graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. He married Sharon L. Wise on February 23, 1951 in Wichita Falls, TX. Jack then entered the Air Force and served from 1951-1954. After the Air Force, Jack worked for Southwestern Bell until his retirement in 1990. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard McCoy; and his wife, Sharon L. McCoy. Survivors include his daughter, Jacque McCoy-White; his son, Michael G. McCoy (Susan); five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Condolences may be left online at www.mcgilleyhoge.com.
