With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Yvonne Rose Hough, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2025 at the age of 80 in Ottawa, Ontario, after battling illness with bravery and strength.
She was known for her unwavering dedication to her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. They always brought a smile to her face. She treasured time spent with her 4 children, and thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings with all her extended family.
Yvonne faced every challenge with grace and determination, and always put the needs of others before her own.
She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Yvonne is pre-deceased by her husband Howard, and brother Ricky. Surviving are her children Sherry, Wendy, Howard and Mark, grandchildren Sabrina, Cristefer, Brooke, Luke and Kate and siblings Tootsie, Gerald, Diane, Florry and Victor.
Visitation will be held on March 26, 2025 at 10:00 am at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home & Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Rd, Ottawa, followed by memorial service at 11:00 am. Yvonne will be laid to rest at Hope Cemetery in Ottawa.
