Peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2019. Tom was a Veteran who served in the Navy during WWII (at the young age of 16), then upon his return to Canada served in the Army and subsequently the Air Force for a cumulative period of 23 years. He spent the rest of his career in the Public Service and retired as the Chief of Airport Crash and Rescue (MOT). Loving father to Sandra, Jill and Colin (Mary). Loving grandfather “Gampy” to his grandsons Jason (Tara) and Steven and great grandfather to Janelle. Beloved brother of Leo (Beryl) Ronan, brother and sister in law Jim and Stella Taylor and beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved wife Betty, sons Paul and Pierce, grandson Kevin, his parents, Pierce and Eloise Ronan, sisters Norma (Billy) Adair, Jeanie, brother Art (Alice) Ronan, as well as other loved relatives. At Dad’s request there will be no formal funeral service, we will be hosting a celebration of his life in the near future. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of the staff at the Perley-Rideau Health Care Centre for their amazing care and support both before and after Dad’s passing.
