Peacefully at home on Thursday, October 27, 2011 with her family by her side, Suzanne lost her courageous battle with cancer at the age of 71. Daughter of the late Oscar Léopold Tanguay and the late Irène Albert. Predeceased by her son Alain and her brother Robert Tanguay. She leaves behind her long term companion Jean-Pierre Béland. Loving mother to Linda (Calvin) and André (Anne). Devoted grandmother to Brian, Scott, Danielle and Michelle. Dear sister to Madeleine (Marcel), Simone (Frank), Cécile (John) and Jeanne (Brian). She will be missed by many friends and family members. Special thanks to Dr. Louise Coulombe and Audrey Thompson for their excellent care. Family and friends are invited to Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Rd., Ottawa on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 2 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated in memory of Suzanne T. Burke.
